Baltic Street

Over the coming weeks we will be introducing you to each of our animals here at Baltic Street! As you may have gathered, they've been growing in number over lockdown and as you can't physically meet them yet, we'll introduce you to them on here instead through a number of interviews conducted by our playworkers.

First up is Dani, one of our English Spot Rabbits.

Whilst interviewing Dani, he was relaxing in his hutch, munching on some hay and carrots.

Dani says - "I'm 2 years old, which is still young, but I'm not a baby any more. My favourite food is kale, a curly, dark green leaf and it's so tasty! My favourite thing to do is lounge in the window of my hutch watching all the children playing in the garden. Since there haven't been many children recently I've spent more time playing with my brother, Sandi, our favourite game is tig!"

Thank you Dani!

Let us know in the comments below who you would like to meet next and if you have any questions for them!

Baltic Street

Many of you may have met or spoken to Beth already, she is our resident Glasgow University researcher. Read below to see why she's here and what she's getting up to!

Research

Beth is Baltic Street’s resident researcher. She is working with us to look at our ideas and practices of food, ethics, community spaces, and urban deprivation.

If you want to find out more, you can e-mail her at b.cloughton.1@research.gla.ac.uk or find her in the food hub. In the coming months, Beth would like to talk with lots of different people at Baltic St, so come say hi and get involved!

Baltic Street Adventure Playground and Glasgow Creative Art Network

Beth is also coordinating a distanced art-project with Baltic St, which is funded by Glasgow Creative Arts Network. Three local artists- Andy, Bella, and Rebecca will be facilitating creative workshops with at-home art packs from January till March around the theme of ‘growth’. You can find out more about this project here on the Arts page of our website!
